Jewell of a Project

LaurelBrooke residents, Bob and Debby Jewell, recently completed an extensive kitchen and master bathroom renovation with us at The Kingston Group. The goal for this project was to create a more functional layout for both spaces while maximizing storage and creating a unified design throughout.

Bob and Debby are new residents to Nashville, having recently relocated from Massachusetts to be closer to family. As first-time grandparents to a sweet baby boy, creating a family-friendly atmosphere for large gatherings was paramount in the planning phase. They connected with Kingston Group owner and LaurelBrooke resident, Ricky Scott, to ignite the Design Build process. “We were new to the area and knew absolutely no one. Our neighbors, the Scott family, showed up at our front door one day with cookies and hand-made pictures from their kids. Ricky mentioned his business, and thanks to LaurelBrooke neighbors we began working with the greatest group of caring, skilled, and creative home remodelers who designed the perfect space for us.” – Bob and Debby

Our team spent weeks collaborating with Bob and Debby to integrate their design concepts and coordinate with trades, vendors, and suppliers to execute the design. When working with the Kingston Group team, Bob and Debby had a clear vision in mind; which made for a seamless design build process. They worked closely with our in-house interior designer, Haley Sprou, to search for the perfect finishes and coordinate all of the design details from start to finish. There are several elements that make this remodel truly one-of-a-kind. From the hand-glazed subway backsplash from Red Rock TileWorks, Cambria quartz countertops with custom ogee stacked edge, to the polished nickel accents - their newly remodeled kitchen and master bathroom are a modern twist with classic design elements.

The project manager, Nathan Forrester, paid close attention to all of the design details and executed both spaces wonderfully. Through weekly on-site meetings with the homeowner, Nathan made sure that all details were implemented and coordinated with the trades.

The kitchen features custom painted cabinets with Sherwin Williams Alabaster and Smoky Blue furniture-style island. The hand-glazed subway backsplash extends to the ceiling with soft colors that create the perfect blend for a striking accent wall and backdrop. The master bathroom features a nine-foot custom vanity, clawfoot soaking tub, and expansive spa-like shower. Polished chrome and crystal hardware are the perfect accent for the vanity, and completement the marble shower floor tile shapes.

One of the project highlights was a celebration, hosted by Cambria, celebrating Bob, Debby and their family. This was such a successful project, and it was a joy to bring the entire team together at the end of project and shower them with appreciation and gratitude.
