Ricky Scott

Ricky is an engineer by training and a building and remodeling expert by experience. Prior to teaming up with childhood friend and fourth generation contractor, Robbie Edwards, to start The Kingston Group in 2007, Ricky worked at a local lumber company that specialized in structural design for large custom homes throughout Middle Tennessee.

That experience sparked his passion for the real estate services industry, and remodeling specifically, because as he puts it, “remodeling gives people joy.”

As an entrepreneur, Ricky has been recognized for numerous awards, ranking in Remodeling Magazine’s Remodeling 550 for the past two years, Qualified Remodeler Magazine’s Top 500 the last three years, Best of Houzz Awards for the past two years and Nashville Business Journal’s 2012 and 2013 Small Business Awards.

He is an active member of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT), on the HBAMT Remodelers Council and a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Nashville.

Raised in Kingston Springs, Ricky graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minor in management technology.

Outside of work, he enjoys golf, watching Vandy sports—he is a former Commodore football player—and spending time with his family. Ricky and his wife, Lori, have two children, Jackson and Olivia.
